Our mission is to foster practical experts involved in the forestry and forest industry through the exploration of the utilization of forest resources for the sustainable development of human society.
The forest science program provides an integrated approach of natural science and social science to pursue both environmental conservation and forestry production. The distinctive characteristic of this program is to cover broad scientific areas ranging from the physical, chemical, engineering, biological, and social science of forest. The education and research areas include forest ecology, silviculture, forest engineering, erosion control engineering, forest planning and metrology, forest policy studies, the use of forest resources science, wood material science. We nurture professional foresters with knowledge and practical techniques of forestry, forestry industry, and forest resource management and conservation.
