Soil Science

Soil retention capacity of root hairs is increased as acidic aluminum is neutralized to produce healthy soils.

The depth of soil on the earth's surface is no more than one meter. Soil, which has been formed as the earth has evolved, is as familiar to us as air and water, but it is indispensable for living organisms.

The Soil Science Laboratory studies soil formation, characteristics, and function to support living organisms and help ensure that the soil's finite resources can be sustained for future generations.
