The research interests of our laboratory focus on the regulatory mechanisms of protein and energy metabolism. We are currently investigating the following targets: 1) Regulation of food intakes by dietary amino acids and their derivatives in rodents; 2) Collagen metabolism in the skin and bone tissue of rats; 3) Circadian rhythms of metabolic activity and behavior in microphthalmic rats; 4) Molecular analysis in obesity-related gene expression; 5) Establishment of adenovirus-mediated highly efficient gene delivery system, 6) Molecular analysis of uncoupling protein as an anti-obesity agent.
