Function and Morphology

The mechanisms of life in livestock and birds are so complex that they are impossible to understand by a single approach. Education and research in the Laboratory of Function and Morphology comprises three specialties. Professor Shoei Sugita, Associate Professor Katsuhiko Fujiwara and Assistant Professor Masato Aoyama specialize in neuroanatomy, physiology and ethology, respectively.

As the name of our laboratory indicates, to understand the life science of animals, we study their anatomy and function through morphological and physiological techniques.
